Mary, thank you for your response. Actually, the growth limiting effect of too small a pot does not apply with my A. obesums. The smaller trees just did not grow enough to warrant up-potting at the time...I think they were predisposed to be miniatures due to genetics. I just recently transferred them to the containers they are in now.

The basket you see in the background contains dendrobium orchids nestled in coconut husks. They are not doing well right now because snails got to them...the snails chewed on the leaves. Took care of the problem though, just needs time to recuperate. Last December they had a prolific profusion of blooms.
