Suggestion: Please be very careful when taping presenters at various functions unless you have the presenter's signed consent form giving you express permission to video tape them and then to use/ show those presentations on public forums. People do this all the time with phones today ( without permission) , but there's the possibility you could run into someone who would/ could litigate if you are taping them without their permission. Then ( looking at all angles) one should consider - if taping speakers at a Regional or National meeting, for example, where people pay registration fees to attend these events, should a certain amount of time pass before these videos are re-shown to everyone? AHS has forms that we planned to use at seminars during this past summer's National meeting but there just wasn't time to arrange and set up cameras. camera people, and secure all of the consent forms from presenters in advance. We included a clause giving the presenters the right to review the videos and have right of first refusal if they didn't like what they saw. I hope that videotaping forums at National Conventions and Regional meetings can happen in the future, but setting this up requires quite a bit of advance legwork, especially since hotels charge EXORBITANT prices for use of any audio visual equipement, and at conventions, all local people are already extremely busy. All such AV equipment would have to be brought into the convention hotels, people secured to tape the sessions, signed forms obtained, etc. AHS does have a Utube page, and if we can complete all the legwork, it is possible we will be able to videotape parts of National convention seminars, obtain permissions, and then show them on our Utube channels. Making such seminars available, however, WOULD fall under the domain of AHS's educational mission and we already have some videos on our Utube channel. It is a good goal to consider!

Also, from the standpoint of a presenter, please ask yourself how YOU would feel if you were asked to do a presentation and during the presentation, you happened to look out in the audience and you saw someone videotaping you without your permission. This has happened to me personally, and it isn't a good feeling!
