I will have to start plants in the house under grow lights for anywhere from weeks to months before our outdoor growing season. We can't plant until around the 24th of May usually because of frost but with this I will be able to move my plants out a month earlier to start hardening them off. It could also be used to extend the season a bit. Any more than a couple of weeks either side and I'd have to run hydro out to it and have a heater. It is so much easier to have the plants outside in one of these than having to carry them in and out of the house every morning and night - upstairs from the basement.
