As for running hydro, have you considered a large water container? I have one that came from a camper or such that holds about 5 gallons. Since my rain barrels are nearby, I haul rainwater to fill up the large container which serves my needs for a couple of weeks. During the winter, I fill it up with city water and let it sit for a week or two before using (to minimize the chlorine).

I have been thinking of a water container. Our water catchment system is about 25 feet away and difficult for me to haul but my husband would fill for me. We only get to garden and use the water May to Oct.
