I couldn't have said it better myself. Although I've had my plants indoors for a short while now, I'm getting more and more fungus gnats (which my husband calls fruit flies) and I'm getting to the point where I'm considering chemicals. That's tough for me because I try to do things as organically as possible. I've upped my game and put out several sugar water traps that have dish detergent in them, which is helping, but that only works on adults. Knowing there is something that will 'take care of' the larvae is reassuring and its getting to that point.

There were a LOT of good tips in that article. I know it's old, but thank you for writing it and I'm glad it was re-posted so that we could revisit all of the helpful information that you included!
