I've been playing around with/getting acquainted with my new camera. I've made some huge mistakes & lost many photos I took but that's part of learning.
Just testing the zoom on it, I took this photo & then zoomed to the max. of 50X to focus on some spanish moss. This is about 250 feet according to our survey. I see now why one needs a tripod.
Just fooling around.
Now I've edited that last photo and it looks like this:
Look above the bird house there & to the top of the tree line; you can see a dead tree with it's top branches sticking up. The Red Shouldered Hawks like to hang out up there. I wanted to test shooting up there. I found out very quickly I couldn't hold the camera steady enough. I tried sitting down & resting my elbows on my knees. More proof that I need a tripod.
Still standing in the same spot, this is zoomed in on the entrance of the bird house. Darn tree rats! Why do they insist on chewing the holes out?
These are the best I can get with my Sony pocket camera when I'm standing in the kitchen. It can't be more than 20 or 25' to that birdbath. These are all unedited photos.
These are edited all to heck & back:
These are completely unedited using the new Fuji camera:
Up until now it has been terribly windy so it was impossible to try any macro type shots. I hope to be able to get to those now that the wind seems to have let up on us hopefully for a while.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
