Hi Carol, the electric fence is a good idea however since most of my deer edible plants are in the back I don't think it would work too well especially with our blind Yorkie wandering around. I don't think he'd take too kindly to being zapped every few minutes.

On your 2nd post, that's a good idea too, those 'space blankets' should work to cover the small openings I have in the new one. We're going to have to redo the top once it warms up a little bit since we put it up the weekend that the wind was really blowing and we have it a bit too long on one side and a little short on the other. So far it's working ok though. I don't have any power out to either one, my plan is to get an generator/inverter in the spring and use it to put power to both of them which will allow me to run some lights and a couple of fans.
