I totally agree that the zone range should be given for perennials! I wonder why they don't do that??
I think one of the worst seed catalog deceptions is the "Heirloom Marriage" tomato varieties that are being offered... the only thing many people seem to see when they read that is "heirloom," they don't realize that these are hybrids. (I have nothing against hybrids in general and grow plenty of them; but I don't see any reason to blur the distinction.)
