I left on Friday and the daffodil's were still just a wish. Came home Monday and what a nice greeting!
Even have some Easter Lilly plants showing.
Still a heap of snow outdoors but it does not have long to live. Temps in the 50's today, and 40's tomorrow. Noticed the daffodils a week ago but went out today (in the glorious sun) and took a few pictures.
My husband and I went to a family reunion this past weekend in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. We visited a few of the local sites and I thought the garden photos might be enjoyed here.
The Shakespeare Garden and subsequently the Anne Hatheway House was inspired in 1926 by a local couple's trip to England. Plans for the garden started in 1927 after the trip, and the house in 1932 after the retirement of the couple. The roof of the house is a true thatch roof.
I took very few close ups of the NUMEROUS blooms...just not enough time.
note to self: number 3 & 4 newly planted: 3) Blanket Flower 'Galya Red Spark', and 4) Dwarf Coreopsis.
