April is a wonderful month for honey bees and gardeners alike. Honey bees are working at full speed to collect pollen and nectar to fill up their food storage area. Gardeners are busy taking care of plants and seeing that everything has all the tender loving care it needs.
Hopefully April's showers won't keep the bees from collecting nectar and pollen from these plants.

With the abundance of food April brings, honey bees will be less aggressive than they have been during the last two months. However, they will be starting to swarm as a natural method of reproduction, so keep an eye out.
Beekeepers who produce a unique honey called wildflower honey may be collecting some of the extra honey from the honey supers.
