April Plants for Honey Bees

By Mindy03
April 3, 2012

April is here and beekeepers will be kept busy trying to keep up with their bees' need for extra room to store the bounty collected from the blossoms they visited. Margaret, don't have anything on that list except that I just received a tea olive and am looking forward to (eventual) bloom time. Today, though, most of the bees gracing my yard are going for the thyme blossoms. Smiling

HI Debra. Thyme is one of their favorites and they do go for most of the herbs.

We have put honey supers on most of the hives now. They are still bringing stuff in as fast as they can collect it.
