Historically all indoor winter decor was natural. With the invention of artificial greenery, Team Artificial was created. I'll even allow that some bat for both teams. Whatever the case for your family, come share your holiday traditions of decorating with us!

2012-12-08/Trish/a10996Nearly everyone does some sort of decorating during this time of year. These decorations are part of what makes this season so special to many of us. After all, what makes this the "most wonderful time of the year" is much about the traditions that we grew up with as well as those that we are passing along in our own homes. So much of the excitment and enjoyment comes from the nostalgia of years past and the traditions carried on in each family. Those are the things that we hold dear and that we think of fondly when we think on our December festivities.

For ages, homes have been donned with what was  around us in nature. Some of us reported bringing the outdoors inside all year, but I'm betting that those numbers go up in the winter!

Team natural- you love the smells and textures of the real. Be it wreathes, swags, or the Christmas Tree itself, your preference is the traditional natural decor.

Team artificial:  Easier and less mess, but no less lovely, you prefer to deck your home with the artificial.

Over to you. We'd love to hear which team you are on, and the traditions surrounding your holiday decorations!
