2023 season: This is brand new - and it did not bloom this first year which is fine.

SEMI-EVERGREEN.

It's 27 inches tall (but seems taller at my house). I got this one from Jack Church about 5 yrs ago. Sometimes it looks ugly - but when it's perfect, it's quite pretty.

2023: No blooms this year. I don't think it's the plant - I think it's the area. Thrips are an issue in this little section. Also I think the deer got to the corner of the house. They did a lot of damage before I put the plastic fence up. They still got in - but a barrier did seem to help. Better luck next yr. The only thing to do is buy another fence that's tall or dig up all my daylilies on that side of the house. Take your pick.

THIS ONE IS A DORMANT
A dormant daylily is one that needs a respite from the blooming season. In other words, they like to take a winter nap.

Rec'd & planted spring 2019
Bloomed first time summer of 2020

2022: It has a very strong and large & tall scape. So far it hasn't made a large clump. But maybe it will have one in a few yrs. We'll see.

2023: Yes, there were more buds/flowers this yr. It is a really interesting daylily. It's tall and strong and I like that.

I went to Blue Ridge Daylilies in North Carolina & picked this ri

It's 43 inches tall. I got mine from Blue Ridge Daylilies in NC when I visited there in 2016. I love it. Seems to be very hardy here in MD.

2022: Did great the past few yrs and this summer too. It's still in a slightly shady area. I may move it to a sunny spot to see what it does then (as far as clump size).

2023: This one is new this year. I didn't know where to plant it when I got it. So it's in with the reds behind the gazebo and needs to be moved, so it can be with it's own kind. That said...it did great for it's first year. Lots of buds/blooms for a newbie.

SEMI-EVERGREEN

2022: It was kind of on the short side. It's supposed to be 28" tall. I guess it will get there. We'll see what it does in 2023. But I like the bloom a lot.

Dormant:
35 inches tall. This one is very tall & grew well in my garden for its first year.

2022: This yr it didn't get to bloom much because of the deer. I'm definitely going to move it into the fenced garden. I really like this one & it's next to Ivory Titan, which I'm moving too.

Dormant: 45 inches tall. First blooming in 2017. In Bob Selman's Alien series. This was a very pale flower at my house this past season. Pale pinkish with pale yellow center. Not quite like the photos I've seen. Plus it didn't reach the height it's supposed to be. However...this may be one that gets better and better each year. We'll see. I don't give up on any.

2018 Update: well, it has bloomed (as of June 18th) and is still growing short & is still pink not lavender. However, I'm going to move it after it's finished blooming this season & try it in another location. I'm thinking that color may depend on what kind of soil it's in and the nutrients it's getting or not getting.

Dormant: 36 inches tall. I got this because I liked the design/pattern. However, when it bloomed in 2017 for the first time it did not have any. Kind of like Get Jiggy. So, I'll wait & see what it does this summer.

Dormant: 32 inches tall. Another Red with yellow center. This sometimes can resemble others like Ruby Spider or Red Headed Hussy. Regardless, it's still very nice.

Evergreen. 20 inches tall (but gets taller at my house). I got this one from Jack Church about 7 yrs ago. Transplanted it from my old house to my new house & it did fine. Always has lots of scapes & blooms. Is one of the first ones to bloom here.

Evergreen means: The foliage habit of daylilies that retain their foliage throughout the year. In cold winter climates, evergreen daylilies over-winter as a mound of frozen pale green foliage. Evergreens may resume growth during a mid-winter thaw in mild climates. Evergreen daylilies do not set resting buds.

*** 2022: It did not do well this yr. A few yrs ago it was the first one to bloom in the garden and had dozens of buds/blooms. This past summer it did not. I'm not sure why. But it could need fertilizer or to be moved somewhere else. I never understood about Evergreens before now and maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe it does better when we dont' have such a cold winter. I don't know.
