[ Snow pea (Lathyrus oleraceus 'Green Beauty') | Posted on February 2, 2016 ]

I am excited to try these snow peas! They are said to get eight feet tall, and the pods are sweet and tender up to 7 inches. They are from Adaptive Seeds.

[ Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Sungold') | Posted on August 1, 2015 ]

Mmmmmm! These are to die for. I need to grow at least three plants of these for them to make it into the house. During peak harvest, it is inevitable to get a canker sore from eating so many of these delectable fruits.

[ Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Orange Russian 117') | Posted on February 5, 2015 ]

This was the first ox heart tomato I grew. It was the most gorgeous tomato I have ever seen. The flavor was fruity and very mild. It reminded me of a peach in a way.

[ Sweet Pepper (Capsicum annuum 'Jimmy Nardello') | Posted on February 1, 2015 ]

I was surprised to see this pepper do so well in a 12 inch container. My plant was loaded with peppers in a cool summer. The plants I grew were from seeds I saved. This could have added to the success. I saved seeds again. I am excited to see the next generation next year.

[ Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo 'Winter Luxury') | Posted on February 1, 2015 ]

I got these seeds from the Whitinger Seed company last year after hearing from @dave and @trish that they were hands down the best for dessert. I would definitely agree!

I only got two fruits per plant, but they were planted amongst a very crowded hugel bed.

[ Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Black Cherry') | Posted on August 23, 2014 ]

I am growing these for the first time this year. They started producing around August 11. I only get about three at a time. Next year I will save space for at least three of these plants. I agree with @dave. It is good to have a small tomato that is similar to Cherokee Purple. I have not had any of them crack, probably because I pick them every day.

This pepper is one of the sweetest I have tasted. It is very prolific, which is good because they are very thin. They are great for snacking. The skin is not as crisp as others.

[ Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Japanese Trifele Black') | Posted on August 23, 2014 ]

I like this tomato because it is fast, and good size for how fast it is. It is a beautiful tomato and has a nice balanced flavor with just enough uniqueness to match its shape.

[ Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Bull's Heart') | Posted on August 23, 2014 ]

This tomato is very solid and meaty. It has very few seeds and would be great for sauce. It is also nice on a sandwich. It is not as productive as I would like and takes a while. I will grow these again. It is a quality tomato. It makes up for productivity in its weight.

[ Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Purple Calabash') | Posted on August 23, 2014 ]

This tomato has a unique flavor, not to mention shape! Tomato Growers compared it to a "fine burgundy." I say it is very acidic and a bit earthy with a mix of salt.
They say Thomas Jefferson grew it.

[ Winter Squash (Cucurbita moschata 'Rogosa Violina Gioia') | Posted on October 24, 2013 ]

I grew this in zone 4b, and it didn't have a long enough season. I started it indoors June 1, and planted it out June 16. It ended up looking like a normal butternut squash. The taste was the same too. Next year I will start it indoors May 1. I will plant it in my compost bin.

[ Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Virginia Sweets') | Posted on June 10, 2013 ]

Very fruity. I grew this plant in the dry part of my rain garden, in a mix of black dirt and sand. Very vigorous plants!
