In my Zone 5, I cut almost down to ground in the Spring. I line a border with very thin branches (angled) for several sprouts to vine around.
This clematis is native only to southern Taiwan. Beautiful small flowers in large quantities. Flowers have baby-powderlike fragrance. Not cold hardy but easy to grow.
