I just joined this site recently. I am so enjoying the posts I have read so far. I woud like to share a picture of my latest succulent planting. An old birdcage planted last year with an assortment of plants. So far so good!

I extended the bottom of the cage with an hardware cloth basket cut and bent to size. Lined it with moss and filled with potting soil. I originally filled it with lobelia but it dried out way to fast.
Last summer I tried succulents. A few from here and there stuck in. Mostly cuttings. I love succulents and have collected quite a few and propagated them, or they have propagated themselves Seems to have held up fine so far!

Very nice...Last year I took a bird cage and flipped it upside down...lined it and planted it and set it into an old wore style vanity chair...have had lots of compliments...
