Well my franjipanis are in full flower here in sunny West Australia!
My neighbour wants a cutting of this pink one, and you'll see in the photos that the left hand branch is quite extended - this is growing horizontally into our patio area in any case. So I was thinking of taking the cutting as marked by the pink circle in the second photo, hopefully forcing growth of the original plant upwards.
For the cutting see photo 3 - Then trim off the 4 shoots (which I'll also strike of course) where the yellow circle are and plant the large "stick" vertically to create a straight cutting.
I hope that makes sense - and should it work? Looking forward to advice.

First let me say Welcome! Next, beautiful Plumie!! And last ....I am total novice. But your first cut is think would be fine but I think the smaller branches look to short with the exception of the very bottom branch that the last pic it looks like its about 10 or so inches. Although the pic could be deceiving. Your new growth (branch) with come from and old leaf scar. Good luck and post updated pics!

Glen you really set me a challenge. It was from my mother, so no idea of the variety so did some hunting. My guess is it's a Plumeria Rubra "Loretta", but I'll give you a close up pic - someone may know better. And yes we are very lucky in Perth, West Australia, no frosts to worry about. We just plant them in the garden!

Thanks for that! I am also a total novice... I'll try the little ones anyway - you never know!

I've had very short pieces root just fine. Give it a try.
