Will do Margaret! I am so excited about getting blooms a little earlier this year than usual. I've had two so far that looked like they were going to open, but they committed suicide at the last minute. Still, I've got a couple more that look like they'll bust open any day now! It was such a dry winter and everything in my yard is behaving differently this year, including me!

Oh my goodness Steph - feel better soonest please.

Well, here is my first seedling bloom, and boy is it UGLY. Now, I am hoping the other blooms on the scape improve, and that the color issues are from rain and water..... I think I just disapproved the theory that first seedling blooms are always pretty.

Oh Jan! I'm speechless (well, almost!), and that doesn't happen often! Hopefully it's just having a bad hair day and the rest will be pretty! I can see potential there at least! And it takes the pressure off of me for my first seedling to be stunning! At least I've got the giggles now!! Oh, and I found 2 more new scapes today on other seedlings, so things are looking up!

Have a wonderful week everyone! We bought a travel trailer a couple of months ago, and it's time to go camping again. This will be our 5th short trip in it. We're determined to get our moneys worth out of it!

Bet that one came from some of my seeds?! Sure is an ugly betty. Could be the weather, I see this type of thing even in my daylilies from well know hybridizers....

LYLE'S BRIDGE SEEDLING - This one was putting up shorter scapes and the blooms were not that great -- and then suddenly it put up this taller scape with some really beautiful flowers! They are more pastel in my garden because they get direct sunlight until mid-afternoon.

Lyl e - Your seedlings were great when you first began hybridizing, but with this year's crop, you've taken it to a whole new level. So many of them have a really new and unique look. Congratulations on making such strides with your program!

Sandy, yeppers it came from your seeds. And poly doesn't seem to matter at my house, I rarely get polys or doubles even when I am supposed to - with the exception of Highland Lord, which doubles about half the time.

Some of my seedlings are prettier, some uglier.

And of course, they can't match the beauty of yours Lyle, well done ~Jan
