Hello Database manager,
Would you be willing to create a database entry for Celosia Intenz, when the sub-cultivar (is that the correct term?) (e.g., classic, dark purple, lipstick) is not specified on the plant label?

Thank you.

Carol, is it this one? Celosia argentea Intenz™ Classic

Lin, since the tag just specifies Intenz instead of Intenz Classic or one of the other sub-cultivar names associated with Intenz, I would prefer to have a more general database entry for Intenz without specifying which Intenz it is, since I don't know.

Shrug! I wonder if there is a legitimate cultivar named 'Intenz'?? The Ball Seed website shows listings for only the three that are currently in our database: Intenz Classic, Intenz Dark Purple and Intenz Lipstick.

That may be the case, Lin. But I don't know which one it is since the label does not specify; it just says "Intenz." So I need a more generic entry.

According to the Ball site, Intenz™ is the name of a trade series, so I'll be editing our entries to reflect its status as such.

Carol, I suspect that Intenz was renamed Intenz Classic after the other two were introduced. if you're hesitant to use that entry, you can use the more generic Celosia argentea entry.

Zuzu, Your suggestion that the original "Intenz" was renamed "Intenz Classic" after the others were introduced makes sense. I feel that the Intenz plants I just added to my garden are indeed Intenz Classic, as Lin suggested.

Thank you both, Lin and Zuzu.
