Lantana Flowers

Two different varieties (an orangish/yellow and a pinkish/yellow) of Lantana growing in a container in my garden on 6/21/2008.

Yep, Casey. But this is the party where the guests wear hats. You'd see their faces if the photo were taken from a different angle. Smiling

Nice mix, nice slice, Marilyn. I tip my hat to you.

I have a love hate relationship with Lantana. I love how it attracts butterflies, love how it is so showy, I even like the smell, but I hate how it takes over everything else in the flower beds I have put it in. The banner has to be one of my very favorites however, very nice.

I have not grown lantana. If butterflies & bees like it so do I. Judging from Marilyn's photos it would make a striking addition in the garden. Thumbs up

Thank you @cliftoncat and @Seedfork for the acorns.

Thank you @cliftoncat, @GaNinFl, @pod, @Seedfork and @TBGDN for your nice comments.

Thank you @Baja_Costero, @bootandall, @capenancy, @cliftoncat, @GaNinFl, @IrisLilli, @Lestv, @pod, @Seedfork, @TBGDN and @vic for the thumbsup.

The pink/yellow variety was probably a Bandana or Luscious series plant.

One lantana variety that I love that I definitely saw hummingbirds going to for nectar was Red Spread that I planted in 2014.

I always plant my lantanas in containers. Red Spread did spread out, but you could always trim in back. I'll have to get Red Spread again next year for the hummers. I mainly plant lantanas for the hummers, but all pollinators are welcomed.

Thank you everyone for all your nice comments, thumbsup, acorns and interest in my colorful banner. I tip my hat to you. Thumbs up
