Arturo, most of the 48 States, are having temperatures in the 90 to 100 F degree temperatures currently, while Ann & zuzu, are in Calif .may be near "Coastal " & while, that you selected photo by cliftoncat, is actually in both England & French gardens ( yes, both !)
That Pacific Ocean along West Coastal waters flows southward from Alaska, helping to "cool it off," most of the time, but not getting too hot, either most of the time, due to a marine layer., except at times can get hot on clear sunny summer days...
While, it may tend to get a little cooler in Mountains of West Virginia, I'm not sure, it is very cool, at all, right about now ! (Original post, location, may or may not be in mountains- as didn't say.) While Atlantic waters, tend to flow up from Gulf of Mexico ("Gulf Stream" , current of water) in summer & water is warmer & heats up the Bay water, near me, (but, also helps keep me, warmer in most all winters!) Few exceptions, of severe cold... Yeah, I know, cool temps help keep colors nice, on Roses, for longer & may bloom into December here, but this one here, is in zone 6 & I'm in 8..
