Id like to see what the first one of Rudy's turns into. I rather like the sculpted white with the yellow edge. It looks cool on a hot day. ALL the seedlings are very nice tho, and such fun to see.

Steph - SC COTTON CANDY looks nice...I have a few seedlings from Song Of The Empire and will possible keep some of them another season..

SONG OF THE EMPIRE X ANGELS GATHER AROUND
Thumb of 2012-07-21/lyle627/3eb204

GG- The first seedling (WHITE MOUNTAIN X FANTASTIC FRINGE) is still under evaluation and may be released next year due to the scape height, and high bud count -- The seedlings in Rudy's northern garden are being tested for northern hardiness the garden sets at the 7000 foot level, and is an excellent test garden, seeing 2 extreme winters, any of the seedlings that survive and multiply will grow well most northern gardens...

Also a couple other seedlings, showing promise, with instant rebloom, is being watched by Rudy for further evaluation.

I am extremely interested in any with instant rebloom. A quality we northern gardeners really appreciate. Are any of those in the Pic. he posted??

Steph - I was at Rudy’s open garden last weekend and we discussed that seedling and noted the instant rebloom but I don't have the seedling number wrote down, I will check with Rudy and get the number -

Thanks Margaret! That was the first bloom for the above seedling and I am looking forward for it to bloom next season.

Thanks Debra. The patterned eyed seedlings are just getting started, and also I have a few crosses of the appliqué throats that should bloom next spring.
HEIDI LYNN is and exciting daylily due to the fact it grows well here in southern garden, an early bloomer, and freezes to the ground up in the northern garden and comes up in the spring with multiple scapes with a show of large pink heavy ruffled blooms......this is a daylily that will grow well in all zones, this is what all hybridizers should be striving for.

favorite red that will see another bloom season...

ROYAL RENAISSANCE X TALLADEGA

another seedling for further review is ...

ARCTIC LACE X PRISCILLA'S SMILE - Arctic Lace is my favorite near white.

Lyle - That Across the Universe pink bitone is just gorgeous. I'm finding I'm really liking all the seedlings I'm seeing posted with Pink Aloha in the parentage. Would you recommend acquiring that one for hybridizing pinks?

I totally agree, Lyle. Hardiness in all zones is extremely important.
What you and Rudy are doing is excellent.

Lyle, the Royal Renaissance x Talladega is to die for. Gorgeous, absolutely
gorgeous, as is the Across the Universe seedling. I love all of them though.
This gives me more hope with crossing efforts.

Stephanie, beautiful yellows, and a yellow with red as well. Lovely!!!

Rudy, 9082 is another beautiful daylily. Love all the levels of color, with
a green throat no less.
