I know this is a little gross, my apologies.

My son's dog is staying with me (probably will be here permanently), and is pooping in my daylily beds. She's not urinating in them, because she's doing that on the carpet, but she poops in them every time I let her out. (My own dogs never do that, maybe partly because they're too small to climb into the raised beds.) I scoop it out of the beds regularly, but will it hurt my daylilies?

When I first moved here, there was a bed out back that nothing every grew in, and I was told that it was because a previous dog used to pee in it; I ended up digging it up, removing the soil, and creating a raised bed there. So I'm wondering if, until I can find a way to stop her, Princess using them as a toilet will likewise harm my beds. Does anyone have any experience with this?

it won't hurt it if you pick it up regular. Try scooping it out and putting it where you want her to go and then take her out on a leash so she can't get into the beds. Maybe taking her out more frequently will keep her from going on the carpet? We have dogs and we love them, I finally got rid of most of my carpet so we don't have to worry about it. Also we bought a really great shampooer and that helps.
