Freedom Gardens is having 20% off their roses which brings them to $20 a piece. He charges $20 for shipping three roses. Take a look. He has many that Palatine offers but his are own root. They are small when you get them but have taken off fantastically well here for me in a short period of time.

Thanks for your post, I just ordered 3 roses from Freedom Gardens. Just to let anyone know, it won't be delivered until next Fall.

Thank You! Thanks for letting us know. He used to have that info on his site and I was hoping he had expanded his shipping dates. Actually, that's a great time for you folks in the warmer areas of the US as it gives them time to establish before the brunt of the heat. They are smaller plants, not bands, but mine benefited from potting up and overwintering in this colder zone. They've all taken off once put in the ground. What did you get, SoCalGN? I only ordered Augusta Louise which I added to my prior choices of Greetings and Paul Jerabek. I hope to personally retrieve them and a couple of lilacs come Spring. Smiling
Edit: I saw my answer on another post. Glad to see more Augusta Louise being planted and Mme. Hardy is so pretty.

Bring this thread up to say I sent an email inquiring about my order, Peter wrote year he didn't have a good crop, so no Augusta Louise to be shipped, I had the choice to either cancel the whole order or partial shipment. I decided to cancel my whole order.

SCGN, that's too bad. Same thing happened to me, but I just added to my order which I just received and planted out today. It's hard growing roses in Z5! What else had you ordered? I substituted the gorgeous Forever Rose!!! The pics are amazeballs!!! He is grafting some AL to R.Multifora, but I said I'd wait for an OR. He didn't have the sale this year so I'm glad I was able to take advantage of that. In addition to FR, I got Paul Jerabek and Greetings. Next year it's AL, Perennial Blue and Crimson Glory. I'm sure I'll add as time goes by! LOL! Anyone else growing these roses? I'd love to see pics.

Vaporvac, I ordered Mme Hardy with this order, but I decided to cancel altogether.
