Thread OP

I'm currently growing some adeniums inside under a grow light and one of my seedlings popped up completely white. I've searched everywhere to see if there is a way to keep it alive (I completely understand the science aspect, just seems like a fun challenge) and all I have found is people could only keep it alive till it had 4 leaves or about a month.

Someone tried grafting theirs and since it was so young it failed.

For a different type of plant, theirs started out green then turnwd white, someone snipped the tip of the leaves and dipped it into sugar water which resulted in the plant going back to green.

It's about a week old. It was completely white and due to the inability to produce food i added 2 small drops of liquid succulent food. The next day it turned pink.

Any ideas of why it turned pink? Or how to potentially keep it alive for over a month?! Thanks in advance!

It will be interesting to see how it grows. Let us know if it survives. My guess is that it will survive if the leaves start producing chlorophyll.

An update 3 months old! Hurray! It's still holding strong, all I do is water it and haven't given it any more succulent food. It is getting fatter and the bright pink trunk remains and keeps growing white leaves which it now has 5 leaves. I do have hope for this little fella here and cant wait to see how long it lasts and what it turns out to be!

Hi there, I've just found your thread by searching... I too now have an albino adenium.. I fed him a little yesterday and today he turned pink.

I'm curious to find out how your little guy is. Is he still growing?
