It's still holding strong, all I do is water it and haven't given it any more succulent food. It is getting fatter and the bright pink trunk remains and keeps growing white leaves which it now has 5 leaves. I do have hope for this little fella here and cant wait to see how long it lasts and what it turns out to be!
