I agree. A nice easy-going chitchat interview. And that's a good thingT (Sorry to quote your former boss, Margaret!) *grin

I especially liked she pointed out what she does his "her" way of doing things and not declaring that her way is THE way as is often the case with many other gardeners, garden books, etc.

I really enjoyed the photos of her place, too. The landscaping scheme is wonderful, and whoever took the photos also did a great job. Excellent! I'm jealous on both counts!

Dave, love the lead-in and lead-out music on the interview! A nice classy touch! Makes ya wanna go sit in Margaret's gardens and listen to more of it!

Happy Gardening, Folks

I finally was able to listen to the interview. Enjoyed every minute. I am in the process of reading her book. I'm a slow reader and have many interruptions. *Blush*
Enjoying it immensely.
I also loved the lead in and lead out music. All done very professionally.

I'm glad you all enjoyed the interview. She was an easy person to interview - she has so many interesting things she has done and is doing, and is very easy to talk with. After I stopped recording we ended up chatting for quite some time afterwards. I expect that I'll want to interview her again sometime in the future where we can get more in-depth with some specific topics.

Her speaking voice is very much like her writing voice, so enjoyable and easy.
If you don't have both her books, buy them now! The first is more gardening oriented, with fabulous photography.
The second is chit-chatty, introspective, free-association, stream of consciousness, sort of 'thinking out loud' writing. In some ways, so personal that I felt like I was snooping in a diary.
I've kept my Martha Stewart Living magazines partially because I enjoy re-reading Margaret's columns.
I appreciate Dave posting this interview because I can't access podcasts.
Hurray!
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.

I finally listened to this yesterday.

I can really relate to Margaret's gardening methodology and philosophies. I felt a definite sense of kinship when she mentioned that her vegetable garden wasn't perfectly tidy; neither is mine, and I like it that way. Smiling

Thanks so much for sharing!
