I bought it around Christmas and repotted it. It has gone through deep freeze in Toronto.

This photo was taken today. Any ID ideas? Thanks!

It is pretty much impossible to ID most semps once they become NOIDS.

The only two that I know, on sight, are gold nugget and oddity.

I have many noids and they are some of my favorite semps.

Many of the semps sold unnamed are seedlings grown in mass so it may never have had a name. Once a tag has gone, the plant should be given NOID status. Just enjoy it if it's one you like!

Hopefully as new varieties are being more and more produced we'll see names on semps everywhere.

I totally agree with both Melissa and Kevin.

Charlinex enjoy it for the things you love about it. I have a few Noids that have been with me for a number of years. I love them.

Melissa, Kevin and Lynn, thanks a lot for the feedback!

I only hope to get some general ideas about this semp. Like, is it the same kind as Gold Nugget? Are they any semps which look similar?

Definitely not 'Gold Nugget'. Looks like it is related to many of the tectorum types to me. Let's see what Kevin says.

Yeah probably mostly tectorum, maybe some marmoreum.

Charlinex, it's getting some pretty colors starting up. The red edges are interesting.

It looks like a seedling to me and I do not understand why it was in the house plant section.
Sempervivum are totally hardy where you live.Outside all year...under snow in the winter. I has a patch of the "Old Green One" beside my house in Thornburry on Georgian Bay...quite a bit colder than you are in TO.

Hi Ricos, my guess is because it was a left-over from the previous season, it got mixed with the houseplants.

It was definitely a small seedling.

However, the semp has always been outside since I took over. Sticking tongue out

I have been to Thornburry, and love Georgian Bay! Smiling

Your plant is coloring up nicely.
If you "hang" with this group for a while you will become a dedicated collector and I for one am looking forward to seeing the different varieties that you can get in Canada which we do not have here.

Jo Ann, do you still come to Ontario? If you do, maybe I can give you some chicks in a year's time. Smiling
