Probably a sport or seedling of 'Champney's Pink Cluster', or maybe 'Blush Noisette" with the same good qualities, in a somewhat dwarf form. It was found/collected in Roseville, CA, N.E. of Sacramento.

A really old one in the Sacramento City Cemetery was about 4.5-ft. tall when I noted it, in the fall. I grow it in huge, huge pots ... It would probably be happier in the ground.

Disease-free, fragrant, and a generous repeat bloomer.

Lovely, Jeri! It doesn't seem unhappy in the pot.

Those are really nice blooms, and healthy foliage, too.

I know it'd probably be larger, in the ground (but, then, gophers) so it's probably best as it is.

Mine has been in the ground for several years. It's a dwarf--only three feet tall, but oh the thick clusters of blooms and oh the fragrance!
