I did some amazon shopping and got two new house plants a dwarf flowering brush ginger and a prince of orange philodentron


Not sure of the scientific name but it grows 2 feet tall the ginger and has pretty flowers



Care tips recommendations Hurray!

I havent got much to say but you should be careful with fertilizing if you are going to do any. Its very easy to over fertilize your Philodendron, since its a very light feeder.

Keep them both out of direct and even strong indirect sunlight. Neither tolerate it, the Philodendron especially so.
I honestly don't know how many shade-loving tropicals my mother has killed over the years by putting them right in front of the window because "it needs plenty of sunlight to grow". What do they say about talking to a wall? Shrug!

Also remember the Burbidgea is not merely frost tender, but very much so, so keep it away from drafts, possibly in a sheltered place.

I grow my Prince of Orange in very very HIGH light, in my greenhouse. Its not a shade plant. It gets direct sun filtered through the polycarb roof panel, which is definitely not low light
