My mini rose was under a serious spider mite infestation. I also began to notice white powdery mildew begin to grow. I used neem oil to treat it. Well a few days later I come out side and leaves are just falling off. All the leaves which have fallen look exactly as the one pictured. I'm incredibly confused as to why this is happening.

What should I do? I love this plant but it's been having a lot of difficulty for the past month or two..

You fried it with Neem - roses are incredibly sensitive to chemicals of any kind. If the branches are still green, it will recover. From now on, stick with Insecticidal Soap but only spray late in the day and then rinse.

You have been dealing with unusually hot temperatures, not to mention appalling smoke pollution.

As Daisy said, you fried 'em. I learned quickly that if I used oil of any sort on roses, and the temps got above about 75, the foliage would be toast. Literally. Toast.

If, after they grow new leaves, you again have a spider mite infestation, try just hose-washing them, using a strong spray of water, from UNDER the leaves (because the little creeps live on the underside of leaves).

I don't know guys, when I burnt my roses with oil they got brown and crispy. These are just yellowed in the center with green edges. I think something else could be going on.

Is this rose potted or in the ground? Could we see a picture of the whole plant?

Yup ... using any kind of oil on roses with higher temps will cause foliage burn AND the same is true with insecticidal soaps. Soaps contain fats.

But I think you are also seeing damage from smoke and ashes.

After I saw a lot of my roses with "yellow leaves", I looked closely and saw the roses covered with a fine layer of ash. Once I started washing the roses daily, I had fewer yellow leaves.

The ash in the air caused my neighbors dogwood tree to lose most of its leaves. Ashes are an unexpected byproduct of these fires.
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.
