Thread OP

My cheese plant is fairly new (bought less than a month ago) and has been growing quite happily, sprouting three new leaves in that time.

HOWEVER, I just noticed today that on the one of the new leaves there is a slightly yellowed tip and a black mark. I've read online and it says this can be due to several reasons such as humidity, overwatering, etc. but I was wondering if anyone here would be able to help me diagnose this for sure?

Don't panic. It's one tiny leaftip. This happens for any number of reasons, including the ones you've mentioned. At this point it is so minor that ignoring it won't have much impact.

It's time to land the chopper and enjoy the plant.

Do you look at this every day with a magnifying glass? That said, I have one thing to say. It looks like your plant is kind of away from a good light source in the center of a room (correct me if this is not true). If perchance you ARE being a little heavy handed with water, the plant may not be getting enough light and air movement to use it to the best advantage
