I bought this adenium obesum one month ago. The caudus was firm but the pot was too small so I repoted it in slightly bigger pot with my succulent mix (cacti soil, perlite, a bit pumice and crushed brick). I wattered it once, after repotting. It's winter where I live so i put it on my southern window, gets couple of hours of sunlight, the room is around 15 celsius or 59 f.
I notice that the caudus is soft to the touch, some of the lower leaves ared drying. I really need your opinion on this. I don't want to lose this guy 😔

Is it still adapting? Is it normal in dormancy? Should i transfer it to a warmer room but with less sunlight?

your plant looks okay .....
leaves turning yellow and falling off is normal ....

this winter, the plant may loose most of its leaves - this too is normal ...and signals the plant is or has entered dormancy

when dormancy occurs - you want to water less frequently & stop fertilizing

adeniums have 2 seasons ...wet & dry ... the summer months being wet & winter months being dry

expect the caudex to go through several "firmness stages" throughout the year ..... from: firm (summer) to soft (winter).....

"soft" may appear wrinkled like a raisin .... this is caused by the plant using resources stored in the caudex during the dry season

For Now - try to get on a watering schedule ....water thoroughly, to saturation one last time (notice the caudex firm up ??) ....mark the day on a calendar and do not water again for another 60 days .... resist the urge to water

Never let the plant sit in water ...and never leave the plant in freezing temps

59°f is a tad cool ....but for dormancy, is okay .... light from a southern window is also ok

Hi. My adenium seems woken up, new leafs are growing on the top but some leafs are turning brown on their tips, is this what you say it's normal?

Leaf tips turning brown is caused by little or no water - those leaves will eventually turn completely brown and will fall off the plant ...

I recommend staying on a watering schedule
