Thread OP

Edit: (Due to my new account I can't seem to post photos or links. Sorry if my link at the bottoms breaks forum rules.)
Hi everyone, first post here.
I've had potted roses for a year, and am quite meticulous in caring for them.
Unfortunately I've had some issues with my Mr Lincoln Rose with the last two flowering cycles.
The buds appear normal and healthy, but when it opens up it is small, shriveled up, and deformed. Please see the attached photos.
The stem of the rose also looks a bit 'off' to me.
I have also noticed that this rose has mushrooms growing around the roots.
My main concern is boitrytis - the mushrooms growing around the base make me worry about this.
Cane canker is another issue which I suspect, however I feel the rose would not have flowered with this.
I don't think the plant is underfed/watered as I have three other bushes which are flowering beautifully in the middle of an Australian summer.
There have been a few aphids and grasshoppers going around, and I have been thorough in removing them/protecting the plant. These pests have been on all of my plants though, so if they were the cause I would expect flowering issues with my other plants.

I have attached pictures of the flowers, the foilage, and the stem. I've also attached two photos of my beautiful healthy plants as some eye candy payment for your help. White is a Pope John Paul II and pink is a patio rose "Fragrance King".

Thanks in advance for your guidance. I hope to spend many hours on this forum looking at beautiful flowers.

Jack.

Hello!
Your roses are very pretty!!
I need to take some advice from you haha

I was wondering,
How long has your rose been potted?

How long has it been in the same pot?

Also, what part of the world are you in? That helps us out a lot

Thread OP

Hi Daisy, I tried that however it just gives me and no image comes up. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Dciau. My rose has been potted for a year and a half, in the same pot for ten months now. I removed it from the pot a month ago and the roots did not look like it needed a larger pot.
I am in Australia, specifically south east Queensland. It is classed as climate zone 2, a subtropical environment.
