Thank you very much, Zuzu. I went ahead and bought it--only $5.99, along with several others at the the local grocery. I sat down and went through several of my rose books looking for it, and found a mention in only two of them from that period of time. They both made a play on the word "Promise", like there are better roses out there, and one said it benefits from shade in the afternoon as otherwise the bloom will fade and be washed-out. It must be sturdy, though, to last for 35 yrs. in your garden!
