What kind of lights do you use In your garden? I have these sunwise solar lights on the porch and want to see what others use in the yard!

I don't have outdoor lighting either. Not even a security light. But I will admit to flashlight in hand to watch where I"m going or what I'm stepping on. Too many legless critters encountered after dark

Yes,. I have read alot about light pollution. I like to see the moon, stars, black sky which you can't do near larger areas.

Regarding homes built on the edge of a rural road surrounded by security lights, my husband used to say those folks should have stayed in town.

I agree with your husband, some of my neighbors seem to be afraid of the dark.

But back to the original poster's lights, I find them intriguing and definitely inoffensive.

My husband is an astronomer and we have an astronomical observatory. We moved to the boonies to have dark skies, but we have a number of fairly near neighbors who use security lighting on their properties. Every set of lights ruin the sky a bit. All of the new satellites that Elon Musk is launching also ruin the skies. It won't be long and a dark sky will be a thing of the past that no one sees. It's pathetic. Enjoy the sky while you can!
