My husband is an astronomer and we have an astronomical observatory. We moved to the boonies to have dark skies, but we have a number of fairly near neighbors who use security lighting on their properties. Sad Every set of lights ruin the sky a bit. All of the new satellites that Elon Musk is launching also ruin the skies. It won't be long and a dark sky will be a thing of the past that no one sees. It's pathetic. Sighing! Enjoy the sky while you can!
