I believe my rose had came canker so I cut it back and sprayed it with anti fungal spray over a month ago. I have seen any new growth since then. Pulled it out today and this is what the roots look like. Is it a goner? Does the second pic have mold at the bottom of the root?

It looks like it may still have some life, where there is green under the bark means there is still life, if the roots are still springy I'd leave it alone, water it when dry and put it in a sunny spot outside or you could place it in darkness to see if any sprouts emerge then put it in a sunny spot outside.
