If you were going to replace Drop Dead Red (floribunda) with another red rose, what would be on your wish list? DDR just does not do well here - BS defoliates it repeatedly. I am in zone 8b but we sure don't get as warm as many other zone 8b areas do so I try keep that in mind. I'd like to avoid HTs and climbers but am open to all other types. Help me Hilarious!

My best red rose is probably Dortmund. It can either climb or be grown as a shrub.

I'm really appreciating Liebeszauber. Very bushy growth, great health with hi blackspot pressure, Wonderful fragrance. Bordeaux is also a great rose.

I love Linda Campbell very much because it's robustic and long lasting. It does get some BS here, but it's no big deal to it. My another red is Miracle on the Hudson. I've heard of many goodies about it though It's new to me this year, so I'm still waiting to see how it does.

Thank You!
@porkpal - I love the look of Dortmund!
@vaporvac - I have added both to my wishlist and Bordeaux Drooling
@Aerith - I look forward to seeing how Miracle on the Hudson does for you

There are so many red choices out there, I appreciate real world experience in helping me narrow it down!
