Hello! I am a newbie. I am interested to learn to propagate roses by budding. Where to buy rose rootstock online?

On a similar question earlier this year, someone suggested UC - Davis.

I have inquired at UC - Davis but they will not ship outside the US.

You can add your location to your name. Did not realize you didn't live in the states.

If there is a local rose society in your country, you could inquire with them where members may be getting rootstock from (examples: Multiflora, Dr. Huey, Manetti, Fortuniana, De La Grifferaie, Odorata, Rugosa, Laxa, Polmeriana, etc.).

Sorry I did not find any Rose Society in Saudi Arabia. Can I ask help from you guys? I'm interested to obtain a Fortuniana rootstock..

This is a gardening forum for Q&A only and local swaps of plants so finding a local source for the root stock is normally best because there are usually rules imposed on imported plants by government agriculture departments.

Is there any way to search members by origin. I thought there was someone on here from Dubai at 1 point. Perhaps they No where to get such root stock and what the restrictions are for importing in the area.

I luckily found an unknown rootstock sucker at a Plant Nursery in our area. I hope I could successfully propagate this one.

Plant it in a much larger pot with good soil and allow it to grow for about a year. Then try rooting a few stems and propagate onto them.

I tried to match the descriptions on the internet, It is similar to Rosa canina. The buds grafted on it are vigorous.
