I'm new to Texas - SETX. What flowers can I put in pots and hanging baskets that will bloom and survive the heat? I'm in a rental house and don't want to end up leaving yet another garden behind. Thanks so much!

Lantana will do well in pots and baskets. Small roses could thrive in baskets, and get "bumped up" to pots.

I'm sure others will have good suggestions also.

Portulaca and purslane (succulents) do well in baskets. Brilliant colors and variety of cultivars. They tolerate full sun for me.

I would add salvia, coreopsis, cosmos, coneflower, black eye susan, tithonia, alyssum, kalanchoe,
canna, crinum, croscomia, astilbe, daylily, ginger and sweet autumn clematis which I have had many years are really tough and drought tolerant.
