New york but not really (Zone 6a)
Hi allπŸ‘‹ I just picked up this little cactus at Walmart today, so I'd like to think I saved it. Anyways it looks pretty healthy having been there.
Anyone know what kind it is? Would now be a good time to repot or should I wait a bit? Thanks (:

I do not recognize your plant, but maybe @mcvansoest does. It looks like it will be fine in that pot for a while longer.

Also @blueoddish might know.

The photo reminds me of my late abducted Pilosocereus gounellii but the spine structure is different and mine also had hair growing under the spines. Still, otherwise it looks similar and the database indicates there are a lot of Pilosocereus out there, many of which dont have a photo to illustrate them. Something to explore, maybe.

It is hard to tell - it is still pretty much a seedling.

Pilosocereus is definitely a possibility though those tend to be a little more blue. There are quite a number of columnar cacti though which it could turn into.
It is what it is!
