So, last year this area was dominated by the Bidens trichosperma. This year it seems that the Anise hyssop has taken over(no surprise there) there's about 15 large plants. They can be really invasive, but will be easy to thin out come the end of summertime. The bumblebees, honeybees, wasps, dragonflies and other assorted winged things seem to be enjoying it too much right now. This garden is a delight to watch as hummingbirds, bees, butterflies, beetles and whatever else makes its way here for nectar, pollen, mud, and water. A relative looked at it and hates the look, feeling it is "overgrown" and "messy". I'm sure he's correct if this isn't your thing and you prefer a trimmer, sparser landscape. I wouldn't trade though, the relaxation and wildlife watching is more to my own particular taste.
