I've had this aloe for 10 years now and its doing really well but I can never seem to find out what it is, I've seen a few plants that look similar but they aren't aloes, but it is similar to one. Does anyone know what type of succulent or aloe it is? Thanks
Baja_Costero said:It is a bromeliad (cousin of the pineapple), not an aloe, but I could not tell you specifically which one.
Thanks I did wonder if it was a bromeliad but all the ones I saw on google had red in the centre and mine doesn't but I suppose they don't all have that

Hi & welcome! Could you add a closer pic of the blooms?

Definitely Puya mirabilis. Even though I'm in Florida in a slightly warmer, wetter climate than @KellyFW, mine all bloomed this month. I would have expected mine to bloom first since this is a Bolivian plant. Maybe rain pattern played a part.
