How wonderful! What a beautiful tree! Are the blooms scented? White ones so often are.

Looks great! How much water do you give the plant during summer?

As far as water I give the plant 5 gallons of water on the first weekend of the month. May through Sep.. If I noticed the plant is actively growing I'll also put miracle grow at 1/2 the recommended dose.

It's really thriving.

It's good to compare notes because I think our climates are quite similar. I give my landscape Pachypodiums a gallon a week, so it works out to be about the same total volume of water, but I provide 1/10 the fertilizer (=5% of the recommended dose) with decent results... non-stop summer blooming, and a foot a year or more of stem on geayi, which does not bloom yet). Maybe I should water twice as much half as often now those 3 plants are established.

Interesting looks like both watering approaches work quite well. Usually I tend towards deeper less frequent waterings to promote deeper root growth. The longer time between watering also helps to keep things dried out. I usually dump the water via watering can getting the stems leaves etc all wet.

This plant type also happens to be one where I am noting the difference between watering. This is a plant that was the same size when purchased as the one pictured above but I have it in a pot and in only gets natural rainfall. Still seems happy just smaller. We had a thunderstorm yesterday so its enjoying a rare summer rain. (third one this summer...)
