Cacti and succulents are beautiful plants that bring us joy and happiness. Hobbyists are frequently facing problems when raising delicate plants. I formed a group related to cactus and succulent diseases, pest control, and caring related. The people of this group exchange their experience and knowledge to share and help each other. Would you please join this group to help people and get help from others? The group is very new and helps to grow. FB group- 'My Cactus and Succulent Clinic"

I agree with you but... Maybe instead of starting a new FB group and inviting us to join, you should join the discussions in this one. What you are describing is exactly what we are already doing and have been for quite a few years.

Well maybe I can be the first to start.

Pest: Leaf miners/leaf borers on Aeoniums;
Deformed leaves, dark lines/dots/markings on leaves.

Treatment: spray leaves with rubbing alchohol. This is likely to make the affected parts of the leaves burn, this is normal.

Aftercare: the alchohol is likely to burn the leaves, so keep plants in the shade for a month after treatment.

Ill check to see if I have any pictures of the pest.

Leaf Miners are a larvae inside the leaf which would not be affected by a contact spray like alcohol.
Since you state the alcohol makes the leaves burn that is how it is working for you.
If you were to spray in the early morning or later in the day when the temperatures are cooler the leaves should not burn.
Dots on the leaves are probably from sucking insects which are easily killed by rubbing alcohol or Safers soap spray.
I would like to see this pest clinic discussion carried on and saved like the [sticky] threads at the top.
All too often I recall I read that somewhere and cannot remember which thread it was in.

This is not a pest clinic discussion, this is an invitation to a pest clinic on FaceBook. Making a sticky about pests and diseases is ok with me but not one starting with an invitation to a FB page not associated with NGA.

I am open to creating a pest control thread and making it sticky if there is good participation, but this is not that thread. Somebody is wanting to share their FB page here.

I would like to welcome @snowwoods to the forum and invite your participation (regarding succulents or pests or whatever) in any of the ongoing threads.

Welcome!
