Here is the enormous poison ivy vine that grew up a tree in our backyard. It originally grew up a tree, then went airborne and grew across thin air for 10-20 feet, then came back down and went into the ground with a willowy looking canopy coming out. I thought it was an ornamental at first and would've gone up close to it to get a good look at the growing tips if I hadn't seen the hairy trunk . If y'all want better pics or anything I can take them. We're getting rid of it soon so act now lol
Also, if you have trouble seeing what parts are the plant, I can highlight it with my markup app or something to point them out. Sorry, I know there's a lot of bracken back there. We're trying to get it all cleared out

There are giant vines of PI like that @ our fav camping spot, a state park in FL that is a nature preserve. Well, it was before hurricane Michael took the camping part off the map. Thankfully, being under it while it's raining does not cause the rash. Sure was nervous the first time we camped under a canopy of PI, for about 5 days after, before I knew I wasn't going to break out.

I have some hefty poison ivy here trying to take over the back corner of my yard. They have climbed up the pines. Some of the trunks are 3 inches in diameter. I never go back there, so they had free reign. This spring they are goners...

Update: Today an excavator was rented and the poison ivy vine is done for! I also got out there and removed a crap ton of honeysuckle vines that were terrorizing a young oak tree. There are still plenty of pretty thick poison ivy vines on the trees here, but they'll all be pretty easy to get rid of. Hopefully the little oak I disentangled from the honeysuckles lives a nice long life
