Rita, gorgeous daffys!

Jewell, love your yard/garden!

Dianne, thanks! I think I'm going to put a few freesias in the ground this fall and see what happens! We don't have to dig dahlias/glads here so maybe it will work.

I put in some different heirloom daffs last fall...can't wait to see them! Big Grin They just had a few inches of rain and I think they've grown about that height's worth since! Man, do they ever grow fast!

Must get out with the camera again in-between showers...

Here is my Nanking Cherry today just starting to bloom.

Forcythia

Weeds that I have each spring. They have little bublets and I am always pulling and digging these out. They bloom early spring and then dissapear until next year.

Here is a little garden area. Has shrubs in the back and now those daffs blooming. More daffs to open. In between the daffs are lilies which bloom in the summer. Then I just stick some annuals in the very front for all season color.

This is a garden section I call The Terraces. Raised beds one on top of another built into the hillside. Looks really stunning in the early summer but still needs work for early spring.

This is a daylily bed here and has some lilies in between for late spring color. I wanted tulips in there for early color. I wanted early tulips and I did not want to replant each year so they had to be done once and stay forever. I decided on Greigii tulips. I bought four types, Goldwest, Large Copper, March of Time and Sundance. I put the four in each hole so that I had four of every one in each grouping. I was wanting a sea of color. It didn't quite end up like I planned. Sundance is blooming first and the other colors are barely showing buds. So I have a bed of one color in succesion instead of all colors at once.

I have never seen it anywhere else except where I bought it along with the three other kinds of Greigii Tulips I planted up there with it (that are not blooming yet).
