For those that are growing these; do you have them in a pot or in ground?
I have bulbs but they are looking sad - the bulbs are shrinking in size - the leaves are limpy and mushy. I repotted them with dry potting soil but was wondering if they do better in ground.

Since I received the bulbs which were not looking healthy are all in 2018; they have never bloomed. Are they a lost cause?

Sorry for late reply, but I just stumbled upon this thread today.
Scilla peruviana requires a sharply draining soil, otherwise the bulb will rot.
I suspect the 'mushy' bulb is an indication of rot. You should use a very lean mix, maybe one part planting mix and 2 parts grit - coarse sand or gravel. I'm not sure if your bulb is salvageable or not. I would replant it in a lean mix and hope for the best.

One bulb is hanging in there.
It was leafing out but some of the leaves were being eaten by a worm.
Luckily I noticed it and got rid of the worm.

I'll repot it with faster draining mix.
