@Baja_Costero Baja This is such a great pic! I didn't know hummingbirds were attracted to crown of thorns. I've been planting a variety of flowers that attract hummingbirds in the hope they will find there way here. I have 2 crown of thorns plants in different places. So now I love my crown of thorns even more.
Thanks for all the wonderful pics you post. Thank You!

I was surprised the birds were even interested when I first saw them stop by (those flowers are not the tubular and cup shapes they usually prefer) but evidently the nectar is abundant enough to bring them back over and over.

The best succulent draws for hummingbirds (in my experience) are aloes and Echeverias, plus a few of their respective family members. Also some terrestrial bromeliads. My goal for a while is to always have hummingbird flowers going in our patio container garden (almost all succulents) and for the past several years I have been successful. I often hear them (their version of peeping is more like clicking) before I see them. When 2 arrive at the same time, 1 is promptly made to leave. Smiling
